My grandfather Bernardino Alonso Perez, traveled the world with the Spanish merchant marine. He later founded Grand Construcciones and provided architectural-engineering and construction contracting for mines, rail roads, and mass scale construction projects.  He was among my mentors, Eugene Roger Apodaca, PhD, Larry Bidenian, MS, and Larry Dieterch, MS who agknowledged from thier own professional backgrounds as mathematicians, systems scientits, and water scientists that North, Central, and South American STEM and the examples of egalitarian communitarian direct democracies had an impact on the West and its awakening from 1000 year dark age.
